
Dr. Kathryn Giunta, DNP, APRN, FNP-BC, is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner who specializes in ear, nose, and throat care. Since joining CT ENT Sinus Center Hearing & Balance in 2020, she has been dedicated to helping patients across Connecticut find relief from sinus, allergy, ear, and throat conditions. With advanced training in ENT and a background in holistic nursing, Dr. Giunta combines medical expertise with compassionate, patient-first care.
Professional Background
Dr. Giunta graduated Magna Cum Laude from Quinnipiac University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in Spanish, which she frequently uses in her clinical work. She gained early experience as a bedside nurse with the Yale New Haven Health System float pool, providing care across more than 50 different inpatient units.
She went on to earn her Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Quinnipiac University, where she received the Holistic Nursing Practice Award. During her graduate training, she completed a clinical rotation under Dr. Robert Weiss, focusing on ENT care. She also served as a founding member and President of the Graduate Student Nurses Association, encouraging community outreach and networking among nurse practitioner students.
Dr. Giunta is board certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She holds certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and is a Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN). She is an active member of the American Nurses Association and the Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society (Tau Rho Chapter).
